Overview
Seeking a Civil Site Grading Design Engineer to develop and coordinate civil engineering designs for land development and municipal infrastructure projects.
What you'll do
- Develop detailed civil engineering designs for land development and municipal infrastructure.
- Design and coordinate site grading, drainage, parking lots, roadway alignments, and utility servicing.
- Prepare grading plans, servicing plans, stormwater management designs, and construction drawings.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, municipalities, utility providers, and stakeholders.
- Perform design calculations and ensure compliance with applicable municipal standards and regulations.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents for quality and accuracy.
- Support projects from conceptual design through detailed design and construction.
What you'll need
- 7+ years of experience in Civil Engineering Design.
- Proven experience in land development, site grading design, parking lot design, commercial site development, roadway design, utility coordination, subdivision development, and municipal capital projects.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering design standards, grading principles, drainage systems, and municipal infrastructure.
- AutoCAD Civil 3D for site grading & drainage design, roadway design, and utility coordination.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (preferred).
- P.Eng. designation (asset).
Nice to have
- Experience working on Alberta-based projects.
- Experience in municipal engineering design and construction.
- Knowledge of stormwater management and infrastructure servicing requirements.
- Design automation tools/workflows experience, including Dynamo and/or Python.
- Familiarity with BIM and digital engineering processes.
Details
- Alberta, Canada project experience is highly preferred.
