Traffic Engineer

Overview

Traffic Engineer role supporting traffic studies across urban environments and rural roads. You’ll assist with traffic design, accessibility planning, and construction-phase traffic management documentation.

What you'll do

• Assist traffic designers, planners, and engineers with drawings and plans.
• Develop traffic design in early phases for different modes of transport.
• Prepare standard cross-sections and conduct simpler profile studies.
• Create accessibility plans for routes and gradients for people with disabilities.
• Prepare construction-stage traffic management plans and sketches.
• Prepare road equipment plans including road markings and road signs.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in traffic engineering.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience as a traffic engineer.
• Ability to manage work under time and resource constraints.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• High independence and ability to develop knowledge.
• Good logic for thinking and problem solving, with willingness to work in a team.
• Good level of English communication.

Nice to have

• Additional experience in traffic design in Swedish assignments.
• Good knowledge and experience working with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
