Cloud Native Senior Architect (Portworx)

Overview

Cloud Native / Portworx customer engineer role based in the UK, supporting delivery and ongoing operations for Portworx customers across EMEA.

What you'll do

• Support design and architecture workshops for Portworx engagements by gathering customer technical requirements and documenting the as-is environment.
• Identify Kubernetes/cloud-native integration points with storage, backup, and related solutions and translate needs into implementation plans.
• Design decisions and document storage/backup workflows, HA/DR configurations, scalability plans, and networking/security considerations.
• Install, configure, and maintain Kubernetes clusters and Portworx-based solutions using best practices, manifests, and Helm charts.
• Deploy and operate Portworx products (Enterprise, PX-Backup, PX-DR) across customer Kubernetes environments and orchestrators.
• Act as initial point of contact for Portworx support case break/fix and request-for-enhancement inquiries within the region.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of hands-on experience deploying and troubleshooting production Kubernetes environments.
• Proven DevOps practices experience and understanding of cloud-native technology landscape.
• Experience supporting enterprise customers directly, including comfort working in production environments and communicating progress.
• In-depth Kubernetes deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting; proficiency with at least one orchestrator such as OpenShift or Rancher.
• Linux system administration experience (RHEL, SLES, Debian, or Ubuntu).
• Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing) knowledge.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Mathematics or equivalent experience.

Details

• Work location: Remote, United Kingdom; must be based and eligible to work in the UK.
• Travel to customer sites and Everpure offices: 30% of the time or more (willingness required).
• Engagement type: Contract engagement, aligned to Everpure's Portworx EMEA delivery roadmap.
