Commercial Account Executive

Overview

Commercial Sales Account Executive (AE) focused on acquiring new customers in SMB markets and owning the full sales process.

What you'll do

• Generate outbound pipeline to acquire net-new customer logos in SMB markets.
• Manage the full sales cycle, including technical demonstrations and negotiation.
• Collaborate with Sales Development Representatives to drive top-of-funnel activity.
• Prospect and strategically engage Chief Technology Officers, Engineering/IT leaders, and technical end-users.
• Identify customer unique needs and communicate the value of Datadog’s product.
• Continue product/sales training to become a Datadog expert.

What you'll need

• Minimum 2 years of full sales cycle experience from prospecting to closing.
• Minimum 2 years of experience selling a complex and technical product/service.
• Experience carrying quota with a proven track record of success.
• Comfort operating in a highly technical, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to map and break into accounts.
• Able to learn from feedback and demonstrate a growth mindset.
