Commercial Legal Apprentice

Overview

Six-month Commercial Legal Apprentice role supporting go-to-market and vendor contract management, compliance, legal operations, and cross-functional collaboration.

What you'll do

• Draft, review, and update commercial agreements, including affiliate, sponsorship, event, vendor, NDA, MSA, SOW, and amendment documents.
• Identify key terms, compare deviations with approved positions, and escalate non-standard provisions.
• Review counterparty redlines and prepare summaries of material changes and negotiation risks.
• Coordinate with Marketing, Procurement, Finance, IT, Security, Events, and Affiliate teams on contract requirements and status.
• Conduct legal research and review promotional content for compliance, including FTC endorsement and testimonial guidelines.
• Maintain contract trackers, CLM records, deadlines, renewals, checklists, and legal operations documentation.

What you'll need

• Recent bachelor's degree in Law or current enrollment in a law degree from an accredited law school.
• Strong academic record and interest in corporate, contract, or commercial law.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple contracts and identify inconsistencies, gaps, and risks.
• Ability to handle confidential information and work collaboratively across teams.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace, Slack, Microsoft Office, and AI tools such as ChatGPT or Copilot.
• Secure computer system and fast internet connection.

Nice to have

• Contract review, commercial law, or legal operations coursework, internship, or project experience.
• Familiarity with SaaS business models or technology transactions.
• Basic Google Sheets proficiency or exposure to CLM tools, especially Ironclad.

Details

• Six-month apprenticeship with a monthly stipend of INR 45,000.
• Remote in India.
• Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–11:00 PM IST, with possible coordination across IST, EST, PST, and CDT.
• Programme start: October 2026.
