Communications Lead, Platform

Overview

Own external communications for the Claude Platform (our API) and shape how customer usage is understood beyond Anthropic.

What you'll do

• Lead end-to-end communications for capability releases, product updates, and developer-facing news.
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, newsletter writers, and creators covering AI platforms and the API economy.
• Prepare platform leaders to speak for press, podcasts, panels, and other moments.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to align external narratives and surface customer feedback.
• Coordinate across press, social, owned, and community channels using judgment on what fits each moment.

What you'll need

• Experience in communications, PR, or product marketing, including meaningful time on platform/API/developer/enterprise products.
• Understanding of developer culture and enterprise buying, plus judgment for timing and tone around AI.
• Strong instincts for which product moments deserve focus and active curiosity about launch success.
• Ability to operate with high agency and low ego, with a bias to action.

• Work mode: location-based hybrid policy expects staff to be in an office at least 25% of the time.
