Contract Specialist (R&D Procurement)-1

Overview

As a Contract Specialist (R&D Procurement) in Procurement, you will work with business owners and procurement colleagues to develop sourcing and contracting solutions and deliver against performance goals.

What you'll do

• Execute sourcing and contracting processes while balancing risks.
• Negotiate and execute agreements in a timely manner under a category or contracting strategy.
• Apply legal principles in a global environment and coordinate with cross-functional teams as needed.
• Develop the sourcing approach and benchmarking opportunities for negotiated contracts.
• Negotiate commercial terms to ensure best value for money.
• Build relationships with suppliers and optimize the supplier–Haleon relationship value.
• Ensure contracting activities comply with regulatory standards and internal policies.

What you'll need

• Minimum 3 years of relevant procurement experience (strategic sourcing, strategic relationship management, contract management).
• Strong negotiation experience.
• Literacy of Ariba systems or similar tools.
• Strong collaboration and influencing skills with effective communication.
• Ability to translate business needs into contractual agreements.
• English proficiency (written and oral).
• University degree (preferable: Supply Chain, Procurement, Science).
