Corporate Secretary and Regulatory Compliance Specialist

Overview

Regulatory Compliance Specialist acting as the primary contact for regulatory compliance in India for a foreign privately held entity.

What you'll do

• Oversee full compliance with applicable central, state, and local laws and regulations in India.
• Maintain a local compliance framework and compliance calendar.
• Manage statutory filings and reporting, ensuring adherence to labour, employment, and workplace regulations.
• Lead PoSH compliance, including governance, training, and reporting obligations.
• Advise leadership and business teams on compliance obligations, regulatory changes, risk escalation, and risk mitigation.
• Engage with internal stakeholders, global teams, and external regulators or advisors to support compliant operations.

What you'll need

• 5-10 years of experience in corporate secretarial, regulatory compliance, legal compliance, or governance roles.
• Qualified Corporate Secretary (Company Secretary or CS).
• Degree in Law (LLB/LLM).
• Demonstrated experience managing multi-jurisdictional compliance across central, state, and local regulations.
• Firm knowledge of PoSH Compliance Framework.
• Experience with MCA, RBI, GST & TDS, and EPF, Shops & Establishment regulations.
