Cost Accountant

Overview

The Cost Accountant will own inventory and cost accounting for the Coimbatore plant, supporting cross-functional teams in Operations.

What you'll do

• Review and establish costing processes and procedures for the plant.
• Analyze and monitor product costs from bidding stage through sales recognition.
• Track POC revenue progress per revenue policy and relevant accounting standards.
• Prepare cost sheets and product-wise profitability statements.
• Analyze low-margin products and identify root causes and margin variance drivers.
• Review BOM and inventory requirements, suggesting inventory usage and cost-benefit alternatives.
• Maintain cost records, ensure policy compliance, and perform SOX controls.

What you'll need

• CMA qualification is required.
• 3 years experience (CMA) or 5+ years experience (CMA Inter) in relevant cost accounting.
• Good knowledge of manufacturing processes, material flows, and order accounting.
• Analytical mindset with high affinity for numbers and ability to work independently.
• Added advantage: Oracle knowledge; exposure to other ERP systems is a plus.
• Sound knowledge of MS Office, especially MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
• Good written and spoken English and presentation skills.
