Overview
Senior Accountant – Revenue role supporting revenue close and revenue accounting for the company’s SaaS business.
What you'll do
- Support monthly/quarterly/annual revenue close activities including revenue recognition entries, accruals, and deferred revenue reconciliations.
- Review customer contracts and renewals to determine accounting treatment under ASC 606 and company policies.
- Analyze routine to moderately complex contracts, document conclusions, and escalate complex/non-standard matters.
- Prepare and analyze revenue and margin reporting, including variance/flux analysis and investigation of unusual trends.
- Maintain support for revenue transactions and reconciliations.
- Monitor and reconcile revenue data flow between ZoneBilling, NetSuite, and NetSuite ARM and resolve discrepancies.
- Support internal and external audit requests related to revenue and related balance-sheet accounts.
What you'll need
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with meaningful hands-on revenue accounting/revenue recognition experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- Strong working knowledge of ASC 606 with demonstrated experience applying it to customer contracts.
- Experience with month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, deferred revenue, and financial analysis.
- Strong Excel and analytical skills, including reconciling and analyzing large datasets.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills for collaboration in a globally distributed organization.
