Overview
Sr Financial Associate (described as Senior Financial Analyst) providing financial leadership and analytical support to Business Unit Controllers and Associate Directors of Finance across business units, projects, and contracts.
What you'll do
- Record and validate monthly revenue for various contract types and ensure compliance with revenue recognition policies.
- Prepare monthly actual vs budget/forecast variance analyses and generate/distribute performance reports and dashboards.
- Coordinate monthly forecasting cycles, including backlog and revenue projections, and meet submission deadlines.
- Perform project closeout reconciliations and resolve financial discrepancies.
- Manage project budgets, resource plans, and project data in financial systems and investigate unusual trends/variances.
- Review contracts and backlog items and assess financial implications of contractual changes on revenue treatment.
What you'll need
- 6–10 years of progressive FP&A, project finance, commercial finance, business finance, or contract accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting and revenue recognition principles.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Power Query and Pivot Tables.
- Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or Workday.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience supporting project-based businesses and contract/revenue/forecasting/profitability work.
