Overview
Financial Associate role focused on financial planning, reporting, revenue management, contract/backlog management, and business performance analysis.
What you'll do
- Record and validate monthly revenue for multiple contract types and ensure compliance with revenue recognition policies.
- Prepare monthly project-level actual vs budget and forecast variance analyses and distribute performance reports/dashboards.
- Coordinate monthly forecasting cycles, including backlog and revenue projections, and meet revenue/backlog submission deadlines.
- Maintain project budgets, resource plans, and project data in financial systems and support financial setup for newly awarded projects.
- Review executed/proposed contracts and change orders, assess financial implications, and ensure proper revenue treatment.
- Prepare and analyze budgets, forecasts, cost/expense projections, utilization metrics, and revenue backlog analyses to support business reviews.
- Develop financial controls/process improvements, participate in system implementation/user testing/automation initiatives, and help resolve month-end/project financial issues.
What you'll need
- 3–4 years of progressive experience in FP&A, project finance, commercial finance, business finance, or contract accounting.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting/commerce/economics/business administration or related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting and revenue recognition principles.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Power Query, Pivot Tables).
- Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, Workday, or similar platforms.
- Experience with revenue recognition, forecasting, budgeting, contract review, and profitability analysis.
