Overview
Senior Lead CPU Core Validation Engineer in the CPU Validation team, validating CPU core pipeline architecture and microarchitecture features.
What you'll do
- Develop detailed test plans based on IP architecture and uarch features.
- Partner with CPU design and verification teams for CPU bring-up and functional validation test plans for owned IP.
- Define validation methodology and create test contents for emulators during pre-Si and on silicon.
- Coordinate with SoC bring-up and software teams for CPU core features bring-up and end-to-end validation.
- Triage and debug failures on silicon.
- Reproduce silicon failures on emulators and FPGAs with CPU verification teams.
- Propose and architect new debug features with the design team to improve future CPU bring-up.
What you'll need
- Minimum of BA/BS in CS/EE with 12+ years of experience.
- 6+ years of experience in silicon validation and bring-up.
- Experience implementing assembly and C/C++ embedded firmware.
- Experience with software toolchain including assemblers, C compilers, Makefiles, and source code control tools.
- Develop and work independently on a block/unit of the design.
Nice to have
- Good understanding of micro-processor architecture topics including cache coherence and memory ordering/consistency.
- Knowledge of Random Instruction Sequencing (RIS) and testing at block/unit and subsystem/chip levels for correctness.
- Experience writing test plans and assembly code.
