Credit Specialist

Overview

The Credit Specialist is a tactical role responsible for day-to-day credit granting and protecting company assets while supporting sales growth.

What you'll do

• Evaluate creditworthiness of new and existing customers by processing credit applications and reviewing credit reports.
• Execute daily credit operations in line with established credit and collection policies.
• Investigate and resolve customer account discrepancies in the accounts receivable ledger.
• Manage assigned daily tasks and system queues for owned portfolios and routed/escalated cases.
• Collaborate with Sales to gather documentation, communicate account status, and support onboarding.
• Ensure credit and collection activities comply with local/state/federal regulations and internal SOX/SoD requirements.

What you'll need

• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in credit, collections, or accounts receivable management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of reviewing financial statements and using commercial credit reports (e.g., DUNS reporting).
• Hands-on experience using CRM and ERP workflows; Salesforce (SFDC) and Intacct are mentioned.
• Ability to perform complex account reconciliations and resolve billing disputes accurately.
• Familiarity with audit trails and basic SOX control understanding in the Order-to-Cash (O2C) cycle.
