Custom Software Engineer

Overview

Custom Software Engineer role focused on building dbt-based ELT transformations on a Snowflake Unified Data Platform (UDP) with Maestro orchestration.

What you'll do

• Develop dbt (data build tool) code for a Snowflake-based unified data platform.
• Build end-to-end data pipelines and job executions in Maestro across ingestion and transformation layers.
• Develop Fivetran and HVR code to ingest data into the UDP raw layer.
• Perform code reviews and migrate code via pull requests in Azure DevOps.
• Detect, triage, and analyze failures or performance issues in data loads and transformations.
• Communicate work status and production issues with data engineering, platform, and business users.

What you'll need

• 2-4 years of dbt development experience.
• 2-4 years of Snowflake experience with understanding of data warehousing concepts.
• Proficiency in SQL.
• Experience with job scheduling/orchestration tools (e.g., Maestro, Airflow, Control-M).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Bachelor of engineering or equivalent degree requirement.
