Overview

The Data Analytics Manager leads the India-based Analytics team supporting Global Business Services, delivering strategic insights, reporting, advanced analytics, and decision-support capabilities for global stakeholders. The role combines people leadership with hands-on delivery of complex analytical initiatives across business performance, procurement, sourcing, reporting, and continuous improvement.

What you'll do

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Senior Data Analysts within the India COE.
  • Set objectives, performance expectations, development plans, succession strategies, and a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Allocate and optimize analytics resources across global priorities while balancing workload and capacity.
  • Provide stretch assignments that build skills, broaden experience, and strengthen succession readiness while retaining ownership of key strategic initiatives.
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, and development activities.
  • Promote knowledge sharing, standard methodologies, and consistent analytical practices across the global analytics organization.
  • Lead and actively contribute to complex analytical initiatives and personally deliver high-impact insights on strategic, cross-functional, and executive-level projects.
  • Partner with stakeholders to define analytical requirements and develop data-driven recommendations.
  • Translate complex data into actionable insights through effective storytelling and visualization.
  • Oversee ad-hoc analysis, custom reporting, benchmarking studies, and special projects.
  • Lead the development of advanced analytical models for priority initiatives and identify opportunities, trends, risks, and operational improvements.
  • Mentor team members.
  • Support category planning, sourcing strategies, supplier evaluations, RFx events, and procurement initiatives through data-driven analysis and decision support.
  • Evaluate supplier proposals, pricing structures, commercial models, and bid scenarios, supporting TCO, baseline cost modelling, should-cost analysis, and optimization initiatives.
  • Establish analytical standards, evaluation methodologies, and quality controls for sourcing activities and analytics deliverables.
  • Partner with sourcing teams to support supplier negotiations and fact-based decision making.
  • Lead the design and enhancement of reporting solutions, dashboards, scorecards, and KPI frameworks.
  • Ensure reporting accuracy, consistency, and data governance.
  • Deliver executive and leadership reporting through insightful metrics and performance analysis.
  • Drive automation and continuous improvement by partnering with Federated Automation and AI teams to implement low-code, no-code, AI-enabled, and advanced analytics solutions.
  • Lead initiatives that improve efficiency, scalability, stakeholder experience, and adoption of modern reporting and analytics technologies.
  • Share best practices and drive continuous improvement across analytics processes and capabilities.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and senior analytical subject matter expert for business challenges, sourcing activities, and executive requests.
  • Support strategic initiatives through analytical modelling, business case development, scenario planning, and performance measurement.
  • Communicate risks, opportunities, and business impacts to stakeholders and leadership teams.
  • Represent the Planning & Analytics function in cross-functional initiatives and strategic projects.
  • Develop partnerships with stakeholders across GS&P, Workplace Services, Global Continuous Improvement, and other GBS functions.
  • Manage Senior Data Analysts within the India Analytics COE and oversee associates and analysts supporting reporting, analytics, continuous improvement, and automation initiatives.
  • Lead cross-functional projects and influence business partners without direct reporting relationships.
  • Partner with global Planning & Analytics leadership to align capabilities, standards, and service delivery.
  • Support analytics services across Global Sourcing & Procurement, Workplace Services, Global Continuous Improvement, and broader GBS functions.
  • Drive analytical support and insights that influence business decisions across more than USD $8B of non-merchandise spend.
  • Build scalable analytics capabilities and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality analytics services.

What you'll need

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Finance, Analytics, or related discipline preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, reporting, procurement analytics, or related analytical disciplines.
  • 2+ years of experience leading or managing analytical teams.
  • Experience supporting global stakeholders and working within cross-functional environments.
  • Strong people leadership, coaching, mentoring, and talent development capabilities.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to convert complex data into actionable business insights.
  • Expertise in reporting, dashboard development, business intelligence, and data visualization.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Power Query, PowerPoint, and broader Microsoft 365 analytics capabilities.
  • Solid understanding of financial analysis, supplier evaluation methodologies, and procurement processes.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong project management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders in a global, matrixed environment.
  • Strong knowledge of continuous improvement principles and process optimization methodologies.

Nice to have

  • Experience with sourcing and procurement platforms such as Coupa, GEP, Oracle, or similar solutions.
