Overview
Data Engineer responsible for building and maintaining data architectures, pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes, ensuring data is accurate, accessible, and secure.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain data architectures and pipelines for durable, complete, and consistent data transfer and processing.
- Design and implement data warehouses and data lakes with security measures and appropriate data volume/velocity handling.
- Develop processing and analysis algorithms for intended data complexity and volumes.
- Collaborate with data scientists to build and deploy machine learning models.
- Lead and supervise a team, allocating work and coordinating team resources.
- Ensure compliance with rules, regulations, codes of conduct, and risk controls, escalating breaches appropriately.
What you'll need
- In-depth technical knowledge and experience in the assigned area of expertise.
- Thorough understanding of underlying principles and concepts in the area of expertise.
- Ability to make evaluative judgments from analysis of factual information with attention to detail.
- Experience resolving problems by selecting solutions using acquired technical experience and precedents.
- Ability to guide and communicate complex or sensitive information to team members.
- Leadership behaviours as a people leader (if leadership responsibilities apply) or ability to develop technical expertise as an individual contributor.
