Data Engineer (L5)

Overview

Netflix is hiring a Data Engineer (L5) to build data processing systems and data models that power analytics and product features.

What you'll do

• Build systems to process data efficiently.
• Model data to power analytics.
• Develop batch data pipelines and/or real-time data processing services.
• Collaborate with business, engineering, and data science teams.

What you'll need

• Write elegant code and pick up new technologies independently.
• Be proficient in at least one major programming language (Java, Scala, or Python).
• Be comfortable working with SQL.
• Have strong background in distributed data processing or data-services software engineering, or data modeling.
• Be familiar with big data technologies like Spark or Flink.

Details

• Location of work may involve relocation to Los Gatos, California or fully remote work in the US with occasional visits to Los Gatos.
• Role is full-time.
