Job description
Overview
Netflix is hiring a Data Engineer (L5) to build data processing systems and data models that power analytics and product features.
What you'll do
- Build systems to process data efficiently.
- Model data to power analytics.
- Develop batch data pipelines and/or real-time data processing services.
- Collaborate with business, engineering, and data science teams.
What you'll need
- Write elegant code and pick up new technologies independently.
- Be proficient in at least one major programming language (Java, Scala, or Python).
- Be comfortable working with SQL.
- Have strong background in distributed data processing or data-services software engineering, or data modeling.
- Be familiar with big data technologies like Spark or Flink.

- Location of work may involve relocation to Los Gatos, California or fully remote work in the US with occasional visits to Los Gatos.
- Role is full-time.
