Overview

Data Scientist 1 conducting advanced analytics and developing medium-complexity models to generate business insights and support decision-making.

What you'll do

• Mine data using modern tools and programming languages.
• Develop algorithms, conduct experiments, and build data-driven applications.
• Apply predictive modeling and statistical techniques to structured and unstructured data.
• Support model implementation to identify patterns and generate predictions.
• Create data stories using visualization tools and methods.
• Clean, organize, and validate data accuracy, integrity, and compliance.
• Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders on requirements, progress, and issue resolution.

What you'll need

• Typically 1–2 years of work experience.
• A four-year degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, computer science, data science, or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of algorithms, data analysis, data mining, and data science.
• Knowledge of machine learning, deep learning, and predictive modeling.
• Programming skills in Python, R, or SQL.
• Knowledge of statistical modeling and statistics.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau.

Nice to have

• Experience in data analytics, statistical modeling, machine learning, or a related field.
• Programming language certification in SQL, Python, or a similar language.
