Overview
Hybrid Data Scientist role on HPE’s Networking Digital Experience & Automation (DEA) team, focused on using AI and data to improve customer support and service experiences.
What you'll do
- Interpret data and apply statistical techniques to produce advanced measurement dashboards.
- Develop data collection systems and analytics strategies to improve statistical efficiency and quality.
- Identify trends and patterns in complex data sets and define success metrics for model quality, engagement, and business outcomes.
- Create long-term monitoring frameworks to track feature adoption, performance drift, and business impact.
- Use clustering, segmentation, and anomaly detection to discover patterns across customer journeys.
- Build data solutions with cross-functional teams and provide consulting/analytics to leadership.
- Design Power BI dashboards and educate/train stakeholders and junior data scientists.
What you'll need
- Master’s or PhD degree in business administration, economics, computer science, management information systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Overall 5–7+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or applied research of measurement frameworks/systems.
- Experience with generative AI, RAG, and multi-turn evaluation.
- Strong understanding of data models, ETL pipelines, Python, and machine learning for measuring efficacy.
- Knowledge of statistics and experience with statistical packages (significance tests, sampling strategies, power analysis, regression, exploratory data analysis).
- Experience with customer support data, conversational AI logs, and omnichannel analytics (higher order Markov chain and hazard models preferred).
- Experience with Snowflake & Databricks, including creating metrics views and connections to Power BI (preferred).
