Data Security Analyst Engineer

Overview

The Data Security Analyst Engineer enables and operates Takeda’s enterprise data security, access, and privacy ecosystem. The role improves data security platforms through policy enforcement/automation, incident support, and collaboration with governance, risk/compliance, and architecture teams.

What you'll do

• Lead onboarding of enterprise data platforms into the Data Security, Access & Governance ecosystem from intake through go-live.
• Create, deploy, and maintain data access policies and controls (RBAC/ABAC/PBAC), including reviews/approvals and versioning.
• Automate Data Security platform deployments using DevSecOps practices (IaC, CI/CD, automated tests, policy-as-code).
• Monitor data security and access platforms, respond to alerts, plan capacity, and complete patching/upgrades.
• Support and lead incident response for data security & access services and perform root-cause analysis.
• Coordinate global policy enforcement and provide audit evidence for security standards and regional regulations.

What you'll need

• Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in a deep technical role.
• BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency in Python for integrations, automations, and policy/platform tooling.
• Strong proficiency/knowledge of AWS services and DevSecOps practices.
• General knowledge of Identity and Access Management principles (e.g., AD, SSO, MFA, IAM, PIM, CIAM).
• Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL technologies for troubleshooting during investigations and incident response.
• Operational ownership experience for production services (monitoring/alerting, SLO reliability, on-call, incident management, post-incident RCA).
