Overview
Data Solutions Architect responsible for enterprise solution architecture and high-level design for Post Trade regulatory reporting data in a regulated environment.
What you'll do
- Own solution architecture and HLD for Post Trade regulatory reporting data end-to-end.
- Design and deliver GCP lakehouse domain architecture from Kafka ingestion to analytics and reporting consumption.
- Model data using dimensional/canonical approaches and define grain and modeling trade-offs in BigQuery.
- Design batch and streaming ingestion, including windowing, replay, idempotency/deduplication, and dead-letter handling.
- Build data quality, profiling, reconciliation, lineage, and audit evidence into the design.
- Apply governance requirements including PII classification, security controls, and retention/privacy design tensions.
What you'll need
- 10+ years in data engineering and data architecture with cloud delivery from design through production.
- Hands-on GCP depth, with BigQuery as the centre of gravity.
- Experience with Post Trade or regulatory reporting data.
- Direct delivery experience on at least one of MiFIR, EMIR (including Refit), ASIC, MAS, SFTR or CFTC reporting.
- Kafka at enterprise scale experience including governed schema registry and Avro evolution.
- Data governance experience in a regulated environment including IAM/RBAC and audit logging.
- Architecture artefacts that have passed formal review (HLDs, ADRs, interface specifications, reference designs).
