Database Engineer

Overview

Database Engineer to own and evolve the data layer of a cloud-hosted healthcare SaaS platform.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and optimize SQL Server stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers.
• Own database schema design, migrations, and deployments for a multi-tenant SaaS application.
• Build and maintain T-SQL reporting data warehouses, including aggregation logic and scheduled jobs.
• Performance tune slow queries using execution plan analysis, index strategy, statistics, and concurrency troubleshooting.
• Write operational scripts for migrations, corrections, and bulk operations.
• Collaborate with .NET developers to design data access patterns using Entity Framework 6 and EF Core.
• Implement audit trails, row-level security, and compliance controls for healthcare data.

What you'll need

• 4–6 years hands-on experience with SQL Server (2016+).
• Expert-level T-SQL skills including stored procedures, CTEs, window functions, and dynamic SQL.
• Performance tuning experience with execution plans, indexes, Query Store, and statistics.
• Database design experience for normalization/denormalization and multi-tenant schema patterns.
• Experience with SSDT/SQL Server Data Tools including DACPAC deployments.
• Proficiency with Entity Framework 6 or EF Core and understanding ORM-generated SQL and migrations.
• Strong debugging skills to trace data flow from application through ORM to stored procedures.
