Software engineer - SOA Backend

Overview

Senior C# backend developer to lead migration of core business logic from a monolithic SQL Server database into a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).

What you'll do

• Design and build reusable business logic components using C# and .NET.
• Extract legacy SQL Server stored procedures and triggers into C# services.
• Design, secure, and maintain high-performance RESTful APIs and web services.
• Transition from a monolithic setup to a decoupled SOA ecosystem.
• Implement ORM/data-mapping using Entity Framework Core.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure migration safety.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of backend development experience using modern .NET (.NET Core or modern .NET).
• Strong proficiency in SQL Server, including complex queries and indexing strategies.
• Proven experience building SOA and enterprise-grade web APIs.
• Expert knowledge of Entity Framework Core or Dapper for data mapping.
• Understanding of API security protocols including OAuth2, OpenID Connect, or JWT.
• BE/MCA or equivalent degree/experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with message brokers such as MSMQ or Azure Service Bus.
• Prior successful monolith-to-SOA migration experience.
• Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker.

• Shift timings: 12.00pm to 9.00pm IST.
• Work mode: Hybrid (3 days office).
