Backend Engineer (C# and .Net)

Overview

Backend Engineer to design, build, and lead delivery of robust backend systems using C# and .NET, including production support and engineering excellence.

What you'll do

• Lead achievement of team goals across system design, architecture, development, quality, and production deployment.
• Design and implement scalable, maintainable backend solutions for complex scenarios.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams like Product, Design/UX, DevOps, and other R&D teams.
• Improve engineering practices by suggesting and implementing technology, patterns, or process enhancements.
• Identify improvements in team systems, processes, and scalability.
• Lead code quality by contributing significantly to code reviews and addressing engineering excellence questions.
• Monitor production systems, investigate potential issues, and lead resolution of critical production challenges.

What you'll need

• 6+ years in backend software engineering roles.
• Extensive experience in C# and the .NET ecosystem.
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server and database management.
• Experience with message queues or streaming platforms (e.g., RabbitMQ, SQS, Kafka).
• Experience writing unit tests and knowledge of design principles, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience with microservices architecture.
• BSc/BE/B.Tech in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.

Nice to have

• Practical experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Practical knowledge of non-relational databases (e.g., MongoDB).
• Experience mentoring new hires and interns.
