Senior Backend Engineer

Overview

Senior Backend Engineer to lead backend design, development, quality, and production deployment of team systems in Gurugram.

What you'll do

• Lead efforts to achieve team goals across design, architecture, development, quality, and production deployment.
• Design and implement robust, scalable backend solutions for complex scenarios.
• Collaborate with Product, Design/UX, DevOps, and other R&D teams.
• Maintain and improve engineering practices by proposing and implementing enhancements.
• Identify improvements for team systems, processes, and scalability.
• Lead code quality through significant code reviews and engineering excellence support.
• Monitor production systems, investigate issues, and lead resolution of critical production challenges.

What you'll need

• 6–10 years of backend software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in C#, Java, Nodejs, or similar object-oriented languages.
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server and database management.
• Experience with message queues or streaming platforms (RabbitMQ, SQS, Kafka).
• Experience writing unit tests and knowledge of design principles, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience with microservices architecture.
• BSc/BE/B.Tech in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.

Nice to have

• Practical experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Practical knowledge of non-relational databases (e.g., MongoDB).
• Experience mentoring new hires and interns.
