01.Backend Engineer

Overview

Backend Engineer role focused on building and supporting PayPay India’s payment system and high-throughput backend services.

What you'll do

• Design large-scale systems for high-throughput applications.
• Leverage infrastructure to solve large-scale problems.
• Develop tools and contribute to open source when possible.
• Use root-cause problem solving and support code in production.

What you'll need

• 4+ years of professional experience using Java, or strong skills in generalized programming languages.
• Ability and interest to learn other coding languages as needed.
• Experience with NoSQL databases and distributed cache.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and OOP.
• In-depth understanding of concurrency and distributed computing.
• Degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science, or 5+ years equivalent SaaS platform experience.
