Overview
Design Engineer II to strengthen a Design Engineering team in Glinde, Germany, supporting mechanical design work and lifecycle compliance in an international project environment.
What you'll do
- Coordinate technical requirements for subcontracted development tasks from design through build.
- Participate in multidisciplinary projects (up to 5 members) with international colleagues and stakeholders.
- Develop design concepts and technical solutions, including troubleshooting existing machinery and creating new designs.
- Support products throughout their full lifecycle, ensuring regulatory compliance and managing lifecycle updates.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for commissioning, customer training, and aftercare.
- Develop and modify 3D models and technical drawings using SolidWorks or similar CAD tools.
- Manage product data in PDM (Windchill) and maintain BOM structures in ERP systems.
What you'll need
- Relevant experience in mechanical design and machine building or industrial equipment.
- Ability to use CAD tools, preferably SolidWorks.
- Familiarity with PDM systems (e.g., Windchill) and ERP systems for BOM management.
- Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation.
- Understanding of product lifecycle management and regulatory compliance.
- Strong German and English communication skills.
