Design Engineer II

Overview

Design Engineer II to strengthen a Design Engineering team in Glinde, Germany, supporting mechanical design work and lifecycle compliance in an international project environment.

What you'll do

• Coordinate technical requirements for subcontracted development tasks from design through build.
• Participate in multidisciplinary projects (up to 5 members) with international colleagues and stakeholders.
• Develop design concepts and technical solutions, including troubleshooting existing machinery and creating new designs.
• Support products throughout their full lifecycle, ensuring regulatory compliance and managing lifecycle updates.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for commissioning, customer training, and aftercare.
• Develop and modify 3D models and technical drawings using SolidWorks or similar CAD tools.
• Manage product data in PDM (Windchill) and maintain BOM structures in ERP systems.

What you'll need

• Relevant experience in mechanical design and machine building or industrial equipment.
• Ability to use CAD tools, preferably SolidWorks.
• Familiarity with PDM systems (e.g., Windchill) and ERP systems for BOM management.
• Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation.
• Understanding of product lifecycle management and regulatory compliance.
• Strong German and English communication skills.
