Desktop Support Specialist

Overview

Hardware Asset Management & Desktop Support Specialist for LPL’s Global Capability Center in Hyderabad, owning the lifecycle of physical IT assets and delivering hands-on desktop support to end users.

What you'll do

• Provide end-user desktop support, including remote and on-site troubleshooting.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software for end users.
• Troubleshoot network printers, scanners, and peripheral connectivity issues.
• Manage device enrollment and configuration using JAMF for Mac, and Active Directory/Microsoft Entra/Intune for Windows and mobile devices.
• Log, track, and resolve tickets in ServiceNow within defined SLAs and prepare daily ticket status reports.
• Run IT hardware asset lifecycle activities across desktops, laptops, and peripherals (procurement, deployment, maintenance, reclamation, and disposal).
• Create and maintain asset records in an ITAM/CMDB system and ensure accurate asset tagging and serial-to-asset mapping.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of experience in Desktop Support.
• Strong understanding of Windows, Mac OS, iOS, and Android.
• Hands-on experience with SCCM, Intune, JAMF, MS Entra, and Active Directory.
• Working knowledge of CMDB/ITAM tools and ServiceNow ticketing.
• Strong Excel skills including formulas, lookups, pivot tables, and related functions.
• Bachelor’s degree (B.Tech/B.E. or equivalent).
