Developer Relations Engineer - Community Manager

Overview

DevRel role focused on managing Sarvam’s developer community pillar, combining community operations, program execution, and feedback loops to product and engineering.

What you'll do

• Manage the Discord developer community, including moderation, onboarding flows, channel structure, and engagement.
• Triaging community questions and routing them to the right people.
• Design and run community programs such as hackathons, meetups, office hours, workshops, and campus outreach end to end.
• Identify and recognise highly engaged developers, and help them grow within the community.
• Run initiatives to bring in new developers through college and community partnerships, collaborations, and community-led content.
• Synthesise developer feedback into structured inputs for engineering, product, and DevRel teams and champion fixes.
• Track community health metrics including activity, retention, response times, program participation, and NPS.

What you'll need

• 1–3 years of experience in community management, developer programs, or a related role.
• Experience building and scaling a community from early stages to a large, active community.
• Comfort around developers and code, including following technical conversations and knowing when to involve engineers.
• End-to-end organiser mindset for events, logistics, follow-ups, and timelines.
• Ability to write clearly and warmly for announcements, Discord replies, and program docs.
• Ability to move fast and deliver polished outcomes from loosely defined briefs.
• Community-minded approach to learn what the community needs through interactions.
