SW Engineer I

Overview

Software Engineer I designs, develops, troubleshoots, and debugs software programs for software enhancements and new products. The role is primarily onsite at an HPE office.

What you'll do

• Code software enhancements, updates, and changes for portions and subsystems of system software.
• Execute established test plans and protocols for assigned portions of code.
• Identify, log, and debug assigned issues.
• Develop understanding of software systems design and development with internal and outsourced partners.
• Participate on project teams to develop reliable, cost-effective, high-quality solutions for low to moderately complex products.

What you'll need

• Have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• Have typically 0-2 years experience.
• Have experience or understanding of software systems design tools and languages.
• Have good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Understand design for software systems running on multiple platform types.
• Understand basic testing, coding, and debugging procedures.
• Have good written and verbal communication skills, including mastery in English and local language.
