DevOps Engineer

Overview

DevOps Engineer role supporting carrier-grade production operations with responsibilities covering automation, deployments, and incident response in a hybrid setup.

What you’ll do

• Manage a large server environment spanning multiple countries across cloud and on-premise setups.
• Design and deploy automation in a production environment.
• Maintain service portfolios and environments.
• Support and improve usage of key operational technologies like databases, load balancers, monitoring & alerting, high-availability, and incident management.
• Help remediate security vulnerabilities using best-practice operational security approaches.
• Participate in an alternating team on-call rotation.

What you’ll need

• Strong proficiency in Linux technologies such as CentOS/RedHat, BASH, and Git.
• Hands-on experience using containers in a production environment.
• Experience creating Jenkinsfiles and Ansible roles/playbooks or coding in a programming/scripting language.
• Cloud experience administering or working with technologies such as Terraform or Kubernetes (or within a cloud environment).
• Willingness to participate in alternating team-based on-call rotation.

Nice to have

• Experience creating and layering custom Docker images.
• Experience designing CI/CD pipelines within a production environment.

Details

• Hybrid role requiring in-person work at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week and regular virtual performance.
