Overview
DGM, HR is a single point of accountability for total HR delivery as part of the HR team, partnering with management and functional leaders.
What you'll do
- Provide hands-on HR business partnership and operational HR advice to managers and leadership.
- Handle employee relations including investigations, disciplinaries, grievances, and appeals.
- Collaborate on workforce planning and align talent decisions with business objectives and growth projections.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret workforce data to support data-driven talent placement and acquisition.
- Develop succession plans and build talent pools through early career to senior professional development activities.
- Manage headcount and employment costs for assigned business units and provide monthly data for forecasts.
- Support line managers and talent attraction during interviews and the hiring process.
What you'll need
- Master’s degree in HR.
- 15+ years of experience as an HR Business Partner for manufacturing/pharma/factory environments.
- Experience managing unions and signing settlements.
- Experience managing a workforce of 500+ employees including unions.
- Fluency in local language Kannada (mandatory).
- Proven experience in HR business partnering or HR generalist work with knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills using HR data for strategic decision-making.
