Overview

Lead the India-based software engineering organization responsible for SONiC development across platform enablement, manageability, control plane, and DevOps. Serve as the India site lead and partner with US-based and global engineering teams.

What you'll do

• Lead engineering teams and managers delivering SONiC capabilities.
• Set site vision, organizational priorities, and collaboration practices.
• Own hiring, workforce planning, performance management, succession planning, and retention.
• Coach engineering managers and develop technical talent.
• Drive engineering excellence, innovation, and customer impact.
• Engage with SONiC open-source and networking communities.

What you'll need

• 15+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years managing engineering managers or leading multiple software engineering teams.
• 5+ years developing or operating network operating systems, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, or control-plane/data-plane software.
• 3+ years delivering production Linux software using C++, Python, Go, or equivalent systems programming languages.
• Experience leading software delivery across planning, execution, release, and operational support.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in a related technical field.
• Experience with networking, SONiC, open networking, or cloud-scale infrastructure.
• Experience leading geographically distributed engineering organizations of 50 or more employees.
• Contributions to open-source projects, standards, communities, patents, publications, or conferences.
