Dimensional Engineer

Overview

Dimensional Engineer role supporting dimensional engineering projects through variation simulation analysis, tracking project objectives, and reporting findings.

What you'll do

• Perform variation simulation analysis (VSA) to predict dimensional variations in automotive systems and sub-systems.
• Build dimensional simulation models up to vehicle level in a rigid and compliant environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve dimensional issues.
• Apply GD&T standards to optimize design and tolerances to meet dimensional targets.
• Document and report analysis findings with actionable insights.
• Track project progress, handle issues, and report/escalate to management as needed.

What you'll need

• Either Bachelor’s in engineering with 6+ years relevant experience, or Master’s with 4+ years relevant experience.
• 4+ years practical VSA experience using tools like 3DCS.
• Basic understanding of CAD, preferably CATIA.
• Understanding of automotive system/sub-system dimensional requirements.
• Good understanding of GD&T standards.
• Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
