Overview
Director of Engineering (Enterprise SaaS Platforms) for India, building Zillow’s India platform engineering organization from the ground up for Workday HR and ServiceNow.
What you'll do
- Recruit, hire, and develop an India engineering team and management team.
- Own end-to-end Workday HR delivery including business process configuration, integrations, custom logic, security model, reporting, and production operations.
- Own and manage the ServiceNow platform delivery across HR Service Delivery and IT Service Management.
- Establish operating norms and cadence with US-based domain experts and product managers.
- Champion AI-augmented configuration and AI tooling in daily platform engineering work.
- Partner on integration and AI infrastructure work with US-based platform and agentic engineering teams.
What you'll need
- 15+ years of experience in enterprise SaaS platform engineering.
- At least 5 years in senior leadership roles managing managers and multi-functional engineering teams.
- Deep expertise in at least one major enterprise SaaS platform (Workday HR strongly preferred) and breadth across two or more others.
- Experience leading distributed engineering centers and working closely with US-based leadership across time gaps.
- Engineering leadership across both software development and platform configuration/administration.
- Exceptional written and verbal English communication for regular rooms with senior US leadership.
- Hands-on background (programming, configuration, or platform certification) to discuss architectural decisions.
Details
- Bengaluru, India; in-person presence at the Zillow Bangalore office for approximately 80 to 100% of time each month.
- Role requires period travel to the US for partnership, planning, and leadership offsites.
