Director of ML Engineering, Conversation Product Area

Overview

Lead engineering for Spotify’s Conversation Product Area, the technical center of gravity for the shift to one Agent and shared agent infrastructure.

What you'll do

• Lead the Conversation Product Area engineering organization.
• Build and support a shared Agent Engine.
• Develop evaluation infrastructure for the agent platform.
• Own Search Brain for intent routing and search-driven conversation.
• Own intent-detection and prompt-suggestion platform behind agentic consumer features.
• Support the Speak Platform, covering applied research and production infrastructure.

What you'll need

• Experience making critical architecture decisions and leading people who deliver them.
• Ability to work with senior architects on architecture decisions.
• Ability to collaborate with product leadership in consumer AI.
• Ability to work with cross-functional partners.
