Overview
Director of Revenue Accounting responsible for revenue accounting operations, accounts receivable accounting, and financial reporting processes.
What you'll do
- Manage daily revenue accounting operations and ensure accurate revenue recognition per ASC 606.
- Run and review the month-end revenue close by approving revenue-related account reconciliations and journal entries.
- Own accounts receivable accounting, including AR reconciliations and aging analysis.
- Lead quarterly CECL aging analysis to support consistent ASC 326 application.
- Perform month-end close flux analysis and explain significant variances in revenue and AR balances.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance Operations, Finance Strategy, Billing Support, and business partners.
- Coordinate the year-end audit and serve as the primary contact for external auditors.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (or equivalent experience).
- 10+ years of accounting experience.
- At least 3 years of public accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and ASC 326.
- Experience with accounts receivable accounting and financial reporting.
- Proficiency with mainstream ERP systems/revenue engines including NetSuite ARM, Oracle, SAP, or Workday Financials.
- Manage and mentor accounting professionals, potentially leading both contractors and FTEs.
