Manager, Commercial Counsel, GTM

Overview

Manager, Commercial Counsel (GTM) to lead commercial legal support for enterprise technology and startup go-to-market teams.

What you'll do

• Draft, review, and negotiate GTM/sales-focused commercial agreements with enterprise technology customers and startups.
• Partner with Sales and GTM leadership to support deal velocity and provide practical legal guidance.
• Build and maintain commercial legal infrastructure such as contract templates, playbooks, and process improvements.
• Manage a team supporting enterprise technology and startups segments.
• Identify and escalate legal risks while supporting business momentum.
• Stay current on legal developments affecting AI technologies.

What you'll need

• Have a JD and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
• Experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, SaaS agreements, or technology transactions.
• Demonstrated people management experience, including hiring and leading attorneys or legal professionals.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for non-lawyer stakeholders.
• 8+ years of legal experience (preferred/indicated) with substantial time on commercial contracts, SaaS, or technology transactions.
• Active membership in the California state bar (preferred/indicated).

Details

• Hybrid work expectations: work from the San Francisco office at least 3 days a week.
• Annual compensation range: $320,000–$385,000 USD.
