Distribution Team Leader

Overview

Distribution Team Leader responsible for distribution center operations, with a focus on inventory and outbound, and for leading distribution center associates.

What you'll do

• Manage distribution center operations including receiving, inventory control, material handling, order picking, and outbound.
• Lead a team in a fast-paced environment and provide visible leadership to keep the workforce motivated and productive.
• Adhere to best practices and identify and execute continuous improvement opportunities.
• Identify, coach, and develop team members.
• Identify and allocate resources needed to meet departmental objectives.
• Participate in hiring and training employees.
• Participate in cross-functional continuous improvement efforts and attend daily start up meetings.

What you'll need

• Leadership experience preferred, including experience leading teams or projects.
• Experience with distribution processes including inventory, receiving, picking, packing, and/or shipping.
• Experience in a fast-paced distribution environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and electronically.
• Ability to walk/climb, stand/bend/stoop for extended periods.
• Knowledge of distribution processes, inventory control, lean manufacturing/continuous improvement concepts, and ERP/WMS systems.
