EDA Tools Hardware Engineer

Overview

EDA Tools Hardware Engineer designing, implementing, verifying, and supporting hardware design tool enablement and adoption for end-to-end EDA testing on new technology nodes.

What you'll do

• Define methodologies for hardware development related to technology nodes and EDA tool enabling.
• Create and verify unique hardware designs and assemble design platforms.
• Integrate components into hierarchical systems for end-to-end EDA tool testing coverage.
• Develop, test, and analyze engineering design automation tools, flows, and methodologies to improve efficiency and optimize power and performance.
• Support development and enhancement of platforms, databases, scripts, and tool flows for design automation.
• Collaborate with EDA vendors on defining and early testing of next-generation design tools.

What you'll need

• 3-10 years of experience in CAD software development, VLSI, or Design Enablement.
• Proficiency in SKILL, Python, and TCL/PERL programming.
• Knowledge of VLSI concepts and EDA tools (Cadence/Synopsys).
• Knowledge of custom layout.
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software optimization.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Work model: Hybrid (split time between on-site at the assigned Intel site and off-site).
