Overview
Educational Consultant (Per Diem) supporting K–8 educators through on-site professional development and training coordination in Montgomery, Alabama.
What you'll do
- Facilitate high-quality professional development, training, and support for teachers and school leaders.
- Coordinate on-site product training and professional development courses for educators and administrators.
- Adjust professional development workshops within specified parameters to match participant needs.
- Help educators analyze data and apply it to instruction, including lesson planning and pacing support.
- Deliver training on implementing Ready and i-Ready to support equitable classroom learning.
- Track and submit detailed training notes and complete assignments in a timely manner.
- Engage in internal coaching and improvement cycles, including being observed and receiving feedback.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree.
- At least 2+ years of experience teaching, coaching teachers, and providing professional development.
- Strong knowledge of Common Core State Standards for Grades K–8 (including content and practice standards).
- Fluency with digital tools and online assessments.
- Ability to discuss and apply data with teachers and leaders.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles for meeting professional development learning objectives.
- Excellent facilitation, interpersonal, communication, and time-management skills.

- Based in Montgomery, Alabama; must live in or be open to relocating.
- Per diems are scheduled on an as-needed basis and paid hourly.
- Travel up to 80% is required; must have own transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Start date: ASAP.
