Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Overview

Maintain electrical, instrumentation, automation, and utility systems in an engineering plastics compounding plant. Focus on safe equipment operation, troubleshooting, reliability, energy efficiency, and minimizing production downtime.

What you'll do

• Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance across plant electrical and automation equipment.
• Troubleshoot motors, VFDs, MCCs, PCCs, control panels, sensors, heaters, and power distribution systems.
• Maintain PLC, HMI, SCADA, PID systems, industrial networks, and process instrumentation.
• Inspect and maintain transformers, DG sets, UPS systems, compressors, and electrical utilities.
• Execute maintenance schedules, records, equipment documentation, and PLC backups.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring failures.
• Support energy saving, TPM, OEE, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you'll need

• Diploma in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
• “C” License.
• 5–8 years of electrical maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of industrial electrical systems, motors, VFDs, MCCs, PCCs, transformers, and protection systems.
• Working knowledge of PLC, HMI, SCADA, automation, instrumentation, and process control.
• Knowledge of electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, control circuits, safety, LOTO, and PPE.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and independently during breakdowns.

Nice to have

• Experience in engineering plastics, polymer compounding, plastics processing, or extrusion industries.
• Understanding of extrusion and compounding machinery.
• Basic knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
