Overview

Embedded Software Engineer to join Cisco’s Common Hardware Group Diagnostic/BSP team, building BSP, diagnostics, and device drivers for networking hardware.

What you'll do

• Design and develop BSP and diagnostics for Cisco Core and Edge routing products.
• Design, develop, and test kernel and user space device drivers for FPGA and networking peripherals.
• Develop and execute software test plans.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to debug prototypes and validate software.

What you'll need

• 4+ years experience with a Bachelor’s degree (or 2+ years with a Master’s degree) in EE/CS or related.
• Proficiency in C, C++, and Python.
• Strong background in hardware and device driver development, including Linux hardware bring-up.
• Experience with Linux hardware bring-up, multi-threading, event handling, and state machine implementation.
• Experience validating embedded systems and device drivers for I2C, SPI, UART, PCIe, and/or GPIO.
