Engineer 2 - Plant Commissioning Engineering

Overview

Engineer 2 for Plant Commissioning Engineering within GE Vernova’s FACTS Solution Line, based in Noida with remote working flexibility.

What you'll do

• Prepare control & protection hardware specifications and bills of materials for Substation & STATCOM projects.
• Develop control and protection panel designs, GA drawings, schematics, relay lists, bay control units, marshalling kiosks, and automation panels.
• Create protection single line diagrams, control schematics, interconnection diagrams, GA drawings, cable schedules, terminal plans, and rack/panel layout drawings.
• Develop I/O allocation and interface engineering for protection relays, RTUs, BCUs, SCADA, STATCOM controllers, and ethernet switches.
• Support site commissioning with pre-commissioning/pre-STATCOM control system reviews, design setting application, and engineering updates for modifications.
• Perform primary and secondary injection testing of protection relays and support energization/performance testing.

What you'll need

• 6–8 years of relevant experience in Substation/FACTS/HVDC projects.
• Minimum 2 years of experience specifically in STATCOM/FACTS/HVDC projects.
• Hands-on experience with single line diagrams, protection & metering SLD, and control & protection panel designs.
• Experience preparing BOMs, hardware lists, interconnection diagrams, cable schedules, and terminal plan drawings.
• Familiarity with IEC 61850, IEC 60255, IEC 62271, and IEC 61000.
• Fluent written and oral English skills.
