Engineer

Overview

Highways Engineer role supporting multi-disciplinary projects executed offshore from the Bangalore, India office, working in a multidisciplinary team of designers and engineers to provide professional design services to clients.

What you'll do

• Design and check a wide range of elements associated with highway projects.
• Supervise designers and drafting staff within projects.
• Maintain technical quality standards and mentor junior designers.
• Support project delivery within agreed timelines and budgets.
• Liaise with clients in a responsive and customer-focused manner.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering from a reputed institution.
• 5 to 12 years of relevant consultancy experience in UK, US, or Middle East highway projects and related infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in delivering various stages of highway design, from preliminary design to as-built stages.
• Sound understanding of highway design codes and standards such as DMRB, AASHTO, KSA, Qatar, and UAE standards.
• Experience in the design of grade-separated junctions.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering highway projects.
• Proficiency in highway design software, including Civil 3D, OpenRoads Designer (ORD), and AutoCAD.
• Experience in implementing quality standards and procedures.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly self-motivated and ambitious.
• Proven track record of technical achievement and client satisfaction within the highways industry.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
• Able to adapt to different cultures and working environments and build rapport with customers.
• Able to build excellent working relationships with colleagues and clients.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills in a professional business environment.
