Engineer I

Overview

Engineer I role focused on leading engineering changes in hydraulic filtration products and coordinating cross-functional project execution.

What you'll do

• Lead projects for engineering changes via Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) or Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
• Manage engineering change activities from initiation through implementation, including supplier/material/tooling changes and cost reduction.
• Collaborate with project leaders, application engineers, sales, suppliers, procurement, quality, and production to implement changes or solve problems.
• Use Oracle Business Intelligence to retrieve product and product-supply information.
• Review engineering drawings and provide design guidance for plastic, rubber, and sheet metal products.
• Resolve engineering issues with cross-functional teams in line with drawing standards and manufacturing feasibility.
• Support design drawing development for hydraulic filtration system objectives and specifications.

What you'll need

• 4+ years of professional engineering, engineering tech, or engineering design work experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
• Proficiency with NX, Creo, Teamcenter PLM, and ARAS Innovator; NX11 preferred.
• Knowledge of ECR/ECO/ECN, drafting, PPAP, DVP&R, dimensional reports, SPC, and testing/validation protocols.
• Experience with sheet metal and plastic part design and familiarity with injection, blow, rotational, and rubber molding processes.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret engineering documents (drawings, engineering specifications).
• Ability to travel approximately 10% per year.
