Engineer - IT

Overview

Engineer - IT role supporting the IT system development projects team, located in Sriperumbudur.

What you'll do

• Support the IT system development projects team for the business.
• Analyze, design, code, and test new systems and system enhancements in line with the deliverables of the IT projects.
• Install, configure, administer, and maintain most complex information systems and associated hardware, in accordance with technical specifications, so that the organization's information systems function reliably.
• Work with users to gather their requirements, prepare detailed program specifications, and coordinate system implementation.
• Communicate with system users; investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve system problems so that user problems are resolved quickly and satisfactorily.
• Develop a testing schedule that fits around the business requirements and produce an applicable user manual.
• Provide training and help with bedding in any system development or enhancements made.
• May coach or provide guidance to lower-level support analysts.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, in addition to 2+ years of related experience.
• Experience on SQL server query building, applications and report development.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrates basic functional, technical and people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.
• Demonstrates skills in functional/technical area.
• Use of the following tools may be required: telephones, data entry, and office software to include word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation package and database systems.
