IT Technical Engineer – Application & License Management (R&D and Engineering Applications)

Overview

IT Technical Engineer for Application & License Management, supporting R&D and Engineering applications (including software tools, CAD/CAE) and ensuring secure, reliable application services.

What you'll do

• Manage application lifecycles including installation, configuration, deployment, upgrades, patching, maintenance, and retirement.
• Monitor application availability and performance; handle incidents, service requests, problems, and changes via ITIL processes.
• Perform application testing, validation, and post-deployment verification; provide Level 2 support for installation, configuration, access, and troubleshooting.
• Administer on-premises and cloud-hosted application environments and maintain application documentation and SOPs.
• Administer software licenses (license servers and licensing infrastructure) and manage licensing models and utilization.
• Troubleshoot licensing issues, coordinate with software vendors, and support audits, renewals, entitlement updates, and license allocation.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mechanical, or related discipline.
• At least 2+ years’ experience in Application Management, Application Support, or Software License Management.
• Knowledge of application lifecycle management activities (installation, configuration, upgrades, patch management, software distribution, monitoring coordination).
• Knowledge of software licensing concepts, license administration, and licensing models.
• Experience with enterprise licensing tools such as FlexNet Publisher (FlexLM), Flexera, DSLS, SLS, Sentinel RMS, or similar.
• Reporting/dashboarding experience using Power BI, Excel, or similar tools.
