Engineer Mechanical

Overview

Engineer (ETO Mechanical) for switchboard and panel-related mechanical design activities in Pune, India.

What you'll do

• Understand customer requirements for switchboard bus layout and prepare 3D models in Autodesk Inventor.
• Finalize mechanical BOMs and release drawings/BOM in Enovia.
• Review electrical schemes, wiring, SLDs, and symbols.
• Coordinate busbar layout and design changes with the plant mechanical technician team.
• Manage engineering documentation and models using ECR/ECO through a product data management system (CAD Data Vault).
• Support assembly teams in resolving process and/or information quality problems.
• Act as the technical point of contact for the customer and maintain/improve customer relations.

What you'll need

• 4-6 years experience in panel and bus designs (MV/LV).
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Hands-on mechanical design experience for LV electrical distribution equipment (switchboard, panelboards, MCC/PCC panels).
• Hands-on busbar sizing calculations and selections; enclosure selection and mechanical mounting assemblies.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.
• Knowledge of IEC/UL standards, PLM, and ERP systems.
